Easy Crisp Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 jar (32 oz.) dill pickles
    1/2 c. vinegar (white)
    2 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    green food coloring (optional)
Preparation
    Cut pickles crossways (chunks) and put\tin
    large bowl. Combine sugar and water.
    Bring to a boil in
    small pan.
    Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.
    Remove from heat and add celery seed.
    Add a few drops green food
    coloring\tto
    syrup. Pour syrup over cut pickles.
    Let stand
    at
    room
    temperature for about
    4
    hours,
    stirring every 1/2 hour.\tPour back into pickle jar and refrigerate.
    The longer these set the crispier they get.
