Oatmeal Crisp Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. quick rolled oats, uncooked
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugars.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Blend in oatmeal and nuts. Mix well.
    Shape into rolls 1 1/2-inches in diameter.
    Wrap.
    Chill overnight.
    Slice with thin knife into about 1/8-inch slices. Place about 2-inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes or until done.
