Hot Caramel Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. regular or low-fat evaporated milk
    4 large apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
    milk
Preparation
    In a large, heavy-bottom skillet, over medium-high heat, melt butter; add sugar.
    Stir rapidly just until mixture is golden brown (1 to 2 minutes).
    Stir in cinnamon.
    Remove pan from heat; add milk.
    Return to heat, stirring, until hardened sugar dissolves and mixture looks like caramel.
    Cover skillet, reduce heat and simmer until apples are tender (about 5 minutes).
    Put apples in a serving bowl.
    Over high heat bring caramel to a boil until thickened (1 to 2 minutes).
    Pour over apples and serve. Serves 8.
