Pork Chop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 thick pork chops
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can tomatoes
    1 large green pepper
    2 slices bacon
    3/4 c. rice
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1 large onion
    1/2 c. beef broth or canned bouillon
Preparation
    Season chops with salt and pepper, then brown.
    Place uncooked rice in a wide, buttered casserole dish and sprinkle with salt. Place chops on rice.
    Pour undrained tomatoes over chops; sprinkle with oregano.
    Cover with sliced onion, pepper and bacon.
    Pour broth over casserole.
    Bake, covered, for 45 minutes at 375\u00b0. Uncover.
    If dry, add a little water.
    Bake, uncovered, an additional 15 minutes.
