Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

3 egg yolks, well beaten (save whites for meringue)
2 c. milk
1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. oleo
1 1/3 c. coconut (divided use)
1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a medium saucepan, combine egg yolks and milk.
Mix well. Add sugar, flour and salt.
Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add oleo, vanilla and 1 cup coconut.
Pour into baked crust. Spread meringue over filling, sealing edges to crust.
Sprinkle with remaining 1/3 cup coconut.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned.
