Open-Faced Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 diet pie crust
    3 c. water packed cherries, drained (reserve juice)
    2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. Sucaryl solution
    1/4 c. cherry juice
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Combine cherries, tapioca, salt, Sucaryl, cherry juice and almond extract; let stand for 15 minutes.
    Pour filling into crust and cover top with foil to prevent drying out.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
