Chocolate Oat Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. quick oats
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
1 stick margarine
2 large eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oats; let stand 10 minutes.
Stir in sugars and margarine.
Add eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together; add to oat mixture.
Stir in 1/2 bag of chocolate chips and vanilla.
Pour batter into lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle remaining chips and nuts over top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
