Mary'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion
    3 Tbsp. green pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
    1/2 c. rice, uncooked
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water (plus or minus)
    3/4 c. grated cheese
    corn chips
Preparation
    Brown in large skillet the ground beef, onion and green pepper. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese and corn chips.
    Simmer 20 minutes all ingredients, except cheese and corn chips.
    Before serving, top with grated cheese and corn chips.
