Gladys Smith'S Baking Powder Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. sugar (if desired)
    1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    4 level tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients; beat egg into milk.
    Cut Crisco into dry ingredients.
    Pour milk over mixture.
    Roll on floured board. Don't roll dough too thin.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
