Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn in bite size pieces
    1 red onion, sliced
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 large can LeSueur peas
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. sharp grated cheese
Preparation
    Place vegetables as listed in bowl.
    Spread mayonnaise over the top of salad.
    Sprinkle cheese over mayonnaise.
    Chill overnight.
