Rich Mocha Hot Chocolate - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. milk
    6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate (either chips or squares)
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 c. strong, hot coffee
    1 c. half and half
    1 tsp. real vanilla extract
Preparation
    Heat milk and chocolate in a heavy saucepan until chocolate melts.
    Whisk until smooth, or beat with an electric mixer until flecks of chocolate are incorporated.
    Stir in sugar and salt; bring mixture to a boil.
    Reduce the heat; simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in coffee and half and half, then briefly bring to a simmer.
    Add vanilla and serve immediately. Serves 5.
