Skillet Beans-Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (1 lb.) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
3 Tbsp. bacon fat
5 c. finely shredded cabbage (green)
1/2 c. cream or evaporated milk
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Remove pork from beans and mash into bacon fat.
Heat fat. Add cabbage and cover.
Cook over moderate heat about five minutes.
Stir in beans, cream or milk.
Add seasoning.
Cover and continue cooking five more minutes or until cabbage is very tender.
Makes 4 average servings.
