Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 cloves garlic, sliced
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 c. water
    3 carrots, cut in 2-inch slices
    3 medium potatoes, quartered
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    1/2 c. frozen peas
    1 tsp. oregano, cumin, sage and pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. ketchup
Preparation
    Heat oil in heavy frying pan or Dutch oven; cook onion and garlic slowly to golden brown.
    Add ground beef and brown.
    Add 3 cups water, vegetables and spices and bring to a boil.
    Mix flour in one cup of water and slowly stir into mixture to thicken. Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, 1 hour.
    Stir in ketchup and serve.
    Serves 4.
