Ingredients

8 (1-inch) thick slices Italian bread
3 eggs
1 c. milk
5 Tbsp. margarine
2 apples, peeled and sliced
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

The day before, cook apples with oleo and cinnamon.
Add brown sugar and corn syrup.
Pour into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Arrange bread on top.
Beat eggs, milk and vanilla.
Pour over bread.
Refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cool in pan for 5 minutes.
Invert serving onto plate.
