Molasses Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. baking molasses (orange label)
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. each: salt, cinnamon and cloves
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar and beaten eggs.
    Mix soda with molasses until it foams.
    Add to first mixture.
    Sift flour and spices.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Add 2 tablespoons flour to raisins and dates; mix well.
    Add nuts and batter.
    Bake in two 8-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
