Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe

2 sticks (1/2 lb.) butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 Tbsp. cocoa
5 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.
Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa. Add alternately with the milk, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix well.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about an hour.
Cool in pan on cake rack for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
It may take a little longer than 1 hour to bake.
