Fish And Vegetable Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. bacon, chopped
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 lb. haddock, chopped
    3 c. milk
    2 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    3/8 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Cook bacon in saucepan until crisp; remove bacon.
    Saute onions, green pepper, celery and garlic in bacon drippings.
    Add 4 cups water, haddock, potatoes and seasonings.
    Simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    Stir in milk and bacon. Heat to serving temperature.
