Chicken And Dumplings(Serves 6 To 8) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. cut-up chicken
    4 stalks celery with leaves, cut up
    1 carrot, sliced
    1 small onion, cut up
    1 bay leaf
    2 sprigs parsley (optional)
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. snipped parsley (optional)
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Place chicken in large Dutch oven and cover with water.
    Add next 7 ingredients.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer until meat is tender (about 2 1/2 hours.)
