Quick Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. corn meal
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
Preparation

Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt.
Stir in corn meal.
Add eggs, milk and shortening.
Beat until smooth (1 minute).
Pour into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan or in cookie sheet for thinner bread.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
