German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

1 large pkg. German sweet chocolate
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
1 c. buttermilk
4 egg whites
Preparation

Melt chocolate in water.
Put aside to cool.
Cream together butter and sugar.
Add egg yolks one at a time, then add chocolate and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Mix flour, milk and chocolate mixture together adding a little of each at a time. Fold in egg whites.
Put in greased and floured cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
