Ingredients

3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
2 c. scalded milk
1/8 tsp. salt
3 beaten egg yolks
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Combine sugar and flour; add milk slowly, stirring to make mixture smooth.
Add salt and cook until thickened.
Pour some of hot mixture into egg yolks, stirring well.
Pour all together and cook 3 minutes longer.
Add butter and vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell. Add meringue and bake until brown.
