Mother'S Sour Cherry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 egg, beaten
    1 can sour cherries, drained (reserve juice)
    whipped cream
    Sauce
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Stir in nuts, butter, egg and cherries.
    Pour into an 8-inch square pan that has been buttered.
    Bake 1 hour.
    Cool.
    Serve in squares, topped with whipped cream and a spoonful of Sauce.
