Honey Baked Lentils - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lentils (2 1/2 c.)
    1 small bay leaf
    5 c. water
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. powdered ginger
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1 c. water
    4 slices cooked bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1/3 c. honey
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in saucepan. Cover tightly and reduce heat. Simmer 30 minutes. Do not drain. Discard bay leaf.
    Combine the next 6 ingredients separately, then mix with lentils in oven-safe casserole dish. Pour honey over all.
    Cover and bake 1 hour.
