Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 c. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    6 c. chopped green peppers
    1 c. white vinegar
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 (4 1/2 oz.) jar jalapeno peppers
    8 c. onions, chopped
    6 c. chopped hot banana peppers
    4 Tbsp. canning salt
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
Preparation
    In a large kettle, mix and bring all ingredients to a boil. Turn to a simmer and cook until reaches desired thickness. Taste; if not hot enough, add more jalapeno peppers.
    Place in hot pint jars and seal.
    Hot water bath for 10 minutes.
    Makes 14 to 15 pints.
