Basic Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
3 heaping Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. butter
4 egg yolks
2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation

Sift flour and sugar together. Beat egg yolks well. Add sugar and flour mixture to well beaten eggs. Gradually add milk slowly to the egg, flour and sugar. Pour this into top of double boiler and cook over boiling water until thick. Remove from fire and add butter. Add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Cover with Meringue.
