Mrs. Hammond'S Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. vegetable shortening (Crisco)
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. boiling water
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. very warm water
1 egg
3 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
Preparation

Put yeast in warm water.
Cream shortening, sugar and salt. Stir until well mixed.
Let cool a little and add yeast and 1 egg that has been well-beaten.
Add flour and mix well.
Butter the top of the dough and leave in covered bowl overnight in refrigerator.
