Curried Lamb Shanks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lamb shanks
salt and pepper
flour
1 1/4 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
oregano
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
dash of marjoram
dash of savory
1/2 c. orange juice
approximately 1/2 to 3/4 c. Major Grey's chutney
Preparation

Sprinkle shanks with salt and pepper, then flour.
Brown slowly in a little oil or bacon fat, turning as needed.
Take off heat.
Place in baking dish.
Sprinkle oregano over shanks and combine the curry powder, paprika, garlic powder, marjoram, savory and the orange juice.
Pour over the shanks.
Add the bay leaf. Cover shanks with chutney.
Cover dish and cook at 350\u00b0 for about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, basting occasionally.
