Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 onion, chopped
    1 lb. ground round
    1 garlic clove
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. water
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In 3-quart container, heat olive oil.
    Saute onion and green pepper.
    Set aside.
    Brown meat; drain and add to onion mixture. Mix thoroughly.
    Crush tomatoes.
    Remove pulp.
    Add to mixture. Add tomato paste, water and all seasonings.
    Bring to slow boil. Be careful not to burn.
    Lower heat and allow to cook down about 1-inch from top of container or until sauce thickens to your liking.
    Makes about 6 cups.
    Serve over hot pasta.
