Cornbread Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. honey
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1 lb. ground beef, browned
1/2 large onion, chopped
1 c. cheese, grated
1 jalapeno pepper, minced
Preparation

To make batter:
beat together egg, buttermilk, and honey; mix well together all dry ingredients.
Combine all ingredients, including melted butter and mix well.
Pour half of batter into cast iron skillet, greased.
Layer browned meat, cheese and pepper.
Pour rest of batter on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
