Kosher Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bushel cucumbers
    about 3/4 small box alum powder
    dill
    1 1/2 qt. white distilled vinegar
    1 qt. water
    3/4 c. noniodine salt
Preparation
    Wash the cucumbers first.
    Soak 1 bushel cucumbers overnight in alum powder.
    Rinse in clear water.
    Pack in jars with 1 piece of dill to each jar.
    Heat to boiling point the vinegar, 1 quart water and salt.
    Pour over pickles and seal.
