Lillie Mae'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla*
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add alternately with milk, blending well. Add vanilla and lemon flavoring and blend.
Turn into well-greased
and floured tube pan or spout pan (approximately 10-inch across top) and bake about 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
