Caribbean Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    2 c. sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. water
    shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour; stir in salt and beaten eggs.
    Gradually stir in the sour cream and let stand 2 hours.
    Stir in melted butter and the baking soda, dissolved in the tablespoon of water.
    Drop batter from a teaspoon into hot, deep fat at 380\u00b0 and fry until golden. Drain on paper towel.
