Pastel Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1/3 c. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
    food coloring
    pecan pieces
Preparation
    Beat corn syrup, margarine, vanilla and salt in mixing bowl until blended.
    Mix in powdered sugar.
    Knead until smooth. Tint with food coloring.
    Shape into 1 1/2 inch patties.
    Top each with 1/2 pecan piece.
    Makes 48.
