Italian Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. ground pork
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 egg
    1/2 to 1 c. water
    1/4 c. cracker meal
    pinenuts or raisins (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, then gradually add water and cracker meal. Continue adding water gradually until meatballs nearly fall apart. Form into meatballs and lightly brown evenly. Drop into sauce and simmer slowly for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
