Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken, cut up
    2 c. plus 3 heaping Tbsp. self-rising flour
    2 1/2 to 3 1/2 c. milk
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. Crisco
    1/2 stick margarine
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook chicken in large pot with enough water to cover.
    Add salt and pepper. When chicken is done, remove from
    broth; debone and set aside.
    Reheat broth; add 2 to 3 cups of milk and 1/2 stick of margarine. Pot should be half full of liquid.
    While mixture heats, make a thickening of flour and milk (about 3 heaping tablespoons flour and 1/2 cup milk), then stir into pot.
