Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/3 c. crushed pineapple, drained
3 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pineapple juice
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, vanilla, soda and pineapple. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt alternating with pineapple juice. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into batter. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 until toothpick comes out clean. Cool. Frost with white icing.
