Shrimp Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. shrimp, chopped
    3 slices bacon, chopped
    1 onion, diced
    1 c. rice
    1 can tomatoes (16 oz.)
    1/4 c. celery, chopped
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
Preparation
    Chop bacon and saute with celery and onions (3 minutes).
    Add shrimp and saute for 5 minutes more.
    Add crushed tomatoes, rice (raw) and the rest of the ingredients.
    Mix well; simmer, covered, for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Water may have to be added.
