Quick Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 gal. cucumbers in 1 gal. jar
1 qt. white vinegar
3 qt. water
1 c. salt
dill
alum

Preparation

Mix vinegar, water and salt.
Heat solution and pour over cucumbers.
Add a piece of dill to jar.
Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon alum over jar.
