Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites
    1 1/2 tsp.vanilla
Preparation
    Place sugar, salt, syrup and water together and cook until it forms a soft ball in water, then pour 1/3 of syrup over beaten egg whites and beat.
    Add vanilla; put remainder of syrup back to cook.
    Cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water.
    Pour over egg white mixture and beat until it will hold shape.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on oiled paper.
