Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. long cooking rice
pinch of salt
1 qt. milk
1/2 stick butter or margarine
3 beaten eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Mix water, rice and salt; add milk and butter or margarine. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Mix the rest of ingredients and add to the mixture.
Cook until just beginning to thicken.
Pour into serving dish.
Top with cinnamon.
