Coconut-Pecan Filling And Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla in saucepan.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add coconut and pecans. Cool.
Makes 2 1/2 cups (enough to cover tops of two or three layer cakes).
