Eight Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn into pieces
    1/4 c. chopped green peppers
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. peas, cooked and cooled
    1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. white sugar
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
Preparation
    You will need one 9 x 13-inch pan and one 8 x 8-inch pan.
