Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
5 large eggs (room temperature)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation

Start with cold oven.
Cream the butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time; beat after each one.
Add flour (2 cups), alternating with milk.
Sift remaining flour with baking powder and salt; add to mixture, then add lemon flavoring.
Pour into large tube pan.
Put into cold oven; set temperature at 350\u00b0. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
