Lime Mist - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. lime jello
    2 c. applesauce
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 medium Cool Whip
    1/4 c. maraschino cherries, well drained
    2 c. lemon-lime carbonated beverage
Preparation
    Combine
    jello\tand
    applesauce in saucepan.
    Heat until jello is
    dissolved,
    cool.
    Stir in celery, nuts and cherries (cut up)
    and
    the
    lemon-lime
    beverage.
    Chill until syrupy. Fold Cool
    Whip\tinto cooled jello mixture.
    Add a few drops of green food
    coloring if you like.
    Pour into 2 quart container and let firm up.
    Do not freeze.
    Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
