Apple Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. golden Delicious apples
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
    1/4 c. chopped dried apples
    1/4 c. pecans, chopped
    6 slices cinnamon-raisin bread, cut in small cubes (3 c.)
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Peel, core and thinly slice apples. Toss with lemon juice in a bowl.
    Mix in 1/4 cup sugar, dried apples and pecans.
    Combine bread and remaining sugar in bowl. Stir in butter.
    Spoon half of apple mixture into 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Top with half of bread mixture.
    Pour water over all.
    Repeat the layering.
    Cover.
    Bake 45 minutes.
    Uncover; bake 15 minutes.
