Shoo Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/3 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 c. King syrup or molasses*
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Stir soda into boiling water. Add syrup/molasses. Stir well. Stir in beaten eggs. Then add crumbs. It will be lumpy. Do not stir until smooth. Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells and top with crumbs that were set aside. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Then reduce to 350\u00b0 and bake another 25 to 30 minutes. Yields two 8 or 9-inch pies.
