Turnip Greens With Roots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 bunches greens
    1/4 lb. salt pork
Preparation
    Wash 2 bunches turnip greens thoroughly.
    Chop greens into small pieces.
    Put greens in pot with 4 cups water.
    More water may be used if necessary.
    Add 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and 1/4 pound salt pork.
    Chop roots into small pieces.
    Bring to brisk boil.
    Reduce heat to medium-low.
    Cover and cook until tender.
