Weepless Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3 egg whites
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix together cornstarch and cold water in small saucepan.
    Stir in boiling water.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes or until thickened.
    Remove from heat and cool. Add cream of tartar to egg whites, beat until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and continue beating.
    Add cornstarch mixture all at once.
    Beat until well blended and very stiff.
    Spread over pie filling and bake 15 to 18 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven until lightly brown.
