Grandmother'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. oleo or butter
    3 eggs, separated
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and softened butter.
    Add beaten egg yolks.
    Mix flour, soda and cream of tartar together.
    Add alternately with the milk to the sugar mixture.
    Add flavorings. Beat egg whites stiff.
    Fold into batter.
    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake about 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
