English Muffin In A Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    cornmeal
Preparation
    Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda. Heat liquids until very warm (120\u00b0-130\u00b0F).
    Add to the dry mixture.
    Beat well.
    Stir in enough more flour to make a stiff batter.
    Spoon mixture into two greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch bread pans that have been sprinkled with cornmeal after they were greased.
    Sprinkle the tops with more cornmeal.
    Cover, let rise in warm, draft-free place for 45 to 60 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Immediately remove from pans and cool.
    To serve: Slice and toast if desired.
